This was the second cartilage and joint repair meeting
of the eCM conference series, again held during the
time of the world cup soccer tournament, which was appreciated
by the participants and added to the important social
side of the congress. The cartilage community will be
glad to know we will keep this tradition, by having
our next meeting in 2010 during the next world cup.
The four year cycle allows real scientific developments
to be shown, rather than incremental changes.
Again this year the keynote lectures were outstanding
and followed our tradition of being an educational meeting
with the addition of latest research results.
Final
Program (329 kB).
There were several good introductory talks into each
of the fields shown followed by more detailed ones within
the field. The single session with limited number of
participants (this year 130) allowed high amounts of
discussion, which also continued out of the sessions.
Peter Roughley from Montreal in Canada summarised the
meeting on the Thursday and his summary
can be downloaded here (16kB).
