Following the successes of the past 9 editions, we are proud to introduce and welcome you to the 10th Symposium on Biodegradable Metals in Oxord University, England from Sunday August 26 to Friday August 31, 2018.
This year again, the symposium will emphasize its academic-conference-style with an openly discursive format, rather than a lecture and question–answer format. This style will be completed by the traditional discussions and the unconventional daily free-time sessions early in the afternoon. Behind the presentations, this symposium aims to discuss open questions on the session topics, new approaches, background knowledge, and personal views among the participants. Furthermore, discussions at the poster session will focus on specific topics and will encourage the participants to raise critical questions or help each other advancing the field of biodegradable metals.
The unique environment offered by the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedic, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Science, at the Botnar Research Centre in the University of Oxford will offer the most suitable environment for advancing the frontiers of the Biometal Science toward innovative translational applications in clinics. Finally, the historical environment of the University of Oxford, founded 1167, will complete the experience we intend to offer to the attendees. The location was especially selected for bringing the attendees in a new region to explore, know and be inspired from.

The conference marked a milestone in deepening our knowledge in this challenging field while discovering the unique historical heritage in this side of the world.
