The first edition of the International Congress Interdisciplinary Approach to Present Dental Medicine wishes to introduce an element of novelty into the academic environment of Romania, by approaching certain subjects that underline the connections among the various fields of Dental Medicine. At the same time, the congress aims at pointing out the connections existing between the field of Dental Medicine and other medical or non-medical fields, i.e. Anatomy, Biochemistry, Allergology, Cardiology, Infectious Diseases, Genetic Biology, Physiology, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture.

Thus, the congress will create opportunities for both physicians and researchers to exploit new possibilities of cooperation, and to expand the scope of their research to certain interesting themes focusing on the interdisciplinary approach not only in Dental Medicine but also in other fields. Such a pluridisciplinary approach will eventually create new approaches to the means of interpretation, research and connection that have been less explored so far.
